Try pins or clips. Even covered elastic bands for hair will work. Just take a portion and pull it up and clip in place. Let some loose long ones sweep along your neck and it will be hot!
Wear a pony tail high on your head if you're a girl; low tied back if you're a guy.
either put a body wave in it or try rolling it in sponge rollers. or for a quick bounce try large hot rollers

Should I cut my hair alot shorter or let it grow out longer?
I want to know if other people think I should have longer or shorter hair.

I would maybe get a new hairstyle. Not cut it short, but maybe take some of the lenght off. I have long, natural curly hair, and my solution to hot days, is to pull it up. I would not cut it short, the women who are telling you to cut it short are just jealous of you. Men love long hair !! Believe me, my boyfriend would have a cow if I cut my hair short....

Ok, you've had long, long hair all your life and you're almost 50 and single once again. Hmmmm, my opinion? I think you should go for it! What do you have to lose? If you don't like it, it will always grow back. Don't cut it too short. Go, maybe to your shoulders with long layers. Get a sexy, new look. Actually, I believe that after a certain age, very, very long hair doesn't look too good. Get some highlights while your at it. I'll bet you'll start getting some extra attention.

If you're not a hippie, I'd say cut it to a more age-appropriate length and donate the hair to Locks of Love, which makes wigs for childhood cancer victims.
When making a decision about my hair length I generally went with what the guys thought, since they were the ones I was trying to impress. However, If you do decide to cut it, I highly suggest you make sure your hair stylist will gather your hair to send to Locks of Love. Not only does that provide a wig for someone in great need of hair, it also gives you a wonderful excuse if you end up not liking your hair cut - just tell people that it was for a good cause. And remember, it'll always grow back if you don't like it short.

You didn't say if you have a relaxer or not, but know with those, you can only minimalize damage.
Stay completely away from all petroleum (soft parrafin, petrolatum) and mineral oils (baby oil). THE most abundant and overly used ingredient in black hair care products. They will clog your follicle (the part of the scalp the actual hair grows out of) by smothering it and they will coat your hair, attracting dirt, grease, ect.
Have a routine for washing and pampering once a week.
Avoid sleeping on cotton, it sucks the moisture out of hair, and get satin pillow cases or a satin night cap. $3 at your local beauty store.
Use natural oils, go to your health food store, or kitchen and apply just enough of them to lightly coat your hair and scalp when damp, so they can be absorbed and enrich your hair. You can even use them as hot oils for extra treatment.
Most of all be patient and eat right. Your hair will get where you want it to be, but not overnight.

Most definitely long. It looks great slightly long but grow it longer and it will truly look fantastic.

Just get your dead ends cut off once every 2 months at least. It helps your hair grow, take some vitamins for hair growth, they really work. But I think you look good with long hair, idk about short.. I used to have hair past my butt, cut it all off and hated my hair short.. just doesn't really fit my face to well. But yah I think you would look good with hair the length it already is maybe a little longer but really choppy with lots of layers and the bangs that go right across the forehead perfectly.

You have great hair! Girls love to have thick, shiny hair like that! Personally, even though your hair is pretty, I think you should keep it short. In my op pinion when it comes to guys, usually less is more! When guys hair is long, it tend to make them look girly, or either too wild, usually. I think very few guys look good with long hair. Plus, it is easier to get a job, get girl's parents to like you, etc. usually if your hair is shorten, because it looks more reserved. But that is just me.
I did`nt look at your pic? WHY? because do what YOU want, not what ';they'; say.... at the end of the day, you are who you are and what you do and say and how you look identifys you as a person. One day you will grow it long, one day short,... its up to you!.. but when i read the other comments, i`m sure you look good any way you want.

Sounds like you have let it grow too long. I think you should cut it. Have it cut just above the shoulders with lots of layers and bangs. You will be glad you did it.

You'll know when you're ready to cut it, short hair is sexy on women, totally. I know tons of guys who think so and I get waaay lots of compliments on my hair every time I go out anywhere, and I'm heck of a lot older than you girl. You'll just be like, 'today is the day and that's it I'm doin it!' Go to a really good salon, maybe see if they will do some straight razor cutting on it too gives lots of texture. If you change your mind it grows out fast, take lots of pictures so if you ever get bored with life you can do it again! (think Matrix, and Aonflux, Pink, oh I could go on and on).
