My hair goes to the middle of my back right now. I am looking to get a shorter cut... should it be shoulder length or just to my chin? Any other ideas are appreciated. I agree long healthy hair is lovely, but hair DOES grow back (average of 6 inches a year) so have fun with it. Try cutting it in intervals to make sure you like the look, ex. cut a few inches every so often until you get a look you are comfortable with... An inverted bob (shoulder length or longer in front and chin length or shorter in back) would look good and seems to be in the length range you're talking about.
Besides you can always get affordable clip in extentions if you want more length later.

Im waiting for my hair to get that long, your lucky. Since your hair is already long a really cool way of getting it cut is in a V. I used to have it this way and I didnt have to put gel in it, blow dry it, straighten it, or anything!
Long hair is so pretty....It will be a big change so make sure you wont regret it but remember, it always grows back!!
I think go up to shoulder length get some layers and then maybe go shorter, do it gradually nothing drastic!
