So, yes, my hair is absolutely gorgeous. It's a little past my waist, and it's golden blonde. If you've ever seen Lost (TV show) and you know Claire's hair, it's very similar to hers but it has a looser wave. And I absolutely love my hair but here are some problems:
1-It's extremely hard to take care of. Brushing and longer showers, and such.
2-I'm ready for a change....something new!
3-I've heard long hair makes you seem taller and thinner. And I'm already tall and thin. Not that big of a problem, but I'll include it :)
So I was thinking about cutting it fairly short--to my shoulders. And I was thinking since my hair is wavy, it be really cute. Imagine it, by the way with side bangs and hair parted in on the side, and do you think it would look good? Would you cut it?Should I cut my long hair short?

These others that want to cut off your hair are either jealous, or it is something they are not used to, and expect everyone to conform and not be strange in their eyes.
It is true that long hair, especially if worn down and if it is straight, does slim the figure, since it is a vertical line flowing around the curves, rather than a mop on top of a lump. Wavy long hair though on a tall person is just gorgeous and rather enhances any figure.
If you do cut it short, you cannot get it back. Yahoo! Answers keeps getting questions from those who regretted the chop, and would dearly love their lovely old hair back. A few can do it, but most people take forever and it never gets back to how it was before because of the extra care that has to be taken while growing out.
If it is wavy, you will find too that it will bush out and grow sideways rather than down, and it will sit forever on your shoulders and never again frame your body. Only when it is as long as yours does the weight pull the curls out so they become soft waves rather than a Patti %26amp; Selma ball of frizz.
I would be sad to see it go. I would be even sadder if others take your lead and cut theirs off too. Something beautiful would be taken from us.
It's up to you of course, but once you cease to be a long haired person you take on a completely different, less natural and caring mindset, and a different set of friends who value fashion and forever changing, rather than valuing something that takes a long time to become beautiful.Should I cut my long hair short?
Okay first of all NOBODY and I repeat NOBODY should ever have hair that goes to/or past their waist it is extremely ugly and ageing on everyone. What you should do is start small and maybe just get it cut to the middle of your back and see how that feels and then when your ready go shorter and so on but please cut that hair pronto!

Do it. Waist length is way too long. It will take a little adjustment period, but once you are used to short hair, you will love it. If you are going shoulder length you might consider some bangs and layers for a shorter look. Go ahead and make the appointmant and have it done.
I would totally do it. Change is always a good thing, and my i wear mine shoulder length, have side bangs and its wavy and people absolutley love it. Especially if your thin and tall, youll look gorgeous. go for it.
shoulder length is not short.if you're a You Tube member,why not have your head completely shaved,and get it on camera abnd post it on You tube!make sure you get nice close ups of the shaver baring bare skin,that's really hot!!!
Yes I would,we all need a change once in a while and your hair will grow back,it sounds like it would be really cute to me!
well its hard for 2 brush,shower etc
so i suggest cut it up 2 your near your shoulders
or u might wanna leave it long but i suggest u shall cut it
