That haircut will look good; just make sure they dont cut it too short on the top layers (keep it around chin length or longer). And DON'T let them thin your hair with thinning shears! That'll make it frizz. You can use Aussie Sprunch spray if you want to wear it wavy. Just spray it on wet hair and let your hair air dry. then soften by running your fingers through it. talk to your hairdresser.. she should be able to help you out, maybe recommend a conditoner or hair product that helps build stronger hair which can handle the hair cut you want!
My hairdresser told me, since I have thin hair, to never get a bob as it will emphasize the thinness. Always to get long layers to make it look like you have more hair.
i think thaat you should get a bob but 1 that is the same length all over rathr than a graduated one as this will give the illusion of your hair being thicker

when i was 13 i hated getting my hair cut and my mom had the same problem, finally i realized how bad it looked and how horrible it felt and i asked to get it cut. If none of te above works, prov to your daughter how bad her hair really is. drop the subject for a few weeks and then sit her down and tell her its awful and its bugging you. maybe she secretly wants it cut, but she knows that she'd be giving in if she got it cut. if you drop it for awhile maybe she'll ask for it to be cut.

Try styling it differently, using different products, and wearing hair accesories until it gets longer (at which point you can continue to grow it out or get a cut you like). Well if you really hate it you could get hair exstensions but I wouldn't they can ruin your hair though only thing you can really do it brush it a lot and keep it healthy and to make it healthy some good home treatments is too cover your hair in loads of mannoise and cover your hair with seran wrap and let it sit for like 10 min then take a shower or poor beer in it then obviously take a shower but just brushing it a lot will make it grow faster.
My mother used to use unflavored gelatin to make her hair and nails grow. You drink or eat it, it comes in packets you can mix with water and i would imagine that you could mix it with other things as well. I myself have used the Mane and Tail (horse shampoos and conditioners)they sell it at places like Walmart, CVS and Rite-Aid.

Well if you really hate it you could get hair exstensions but I wouldn't they can ruin your hair though only thing you can really do it brush it a lot and keep it healthy and to make it healthy some good home treatments is too cover your hair in loads of mannoise and cover your hair with seran wrap and let it sit for like 10 min then take a shower or poor beer in it then obviously take a shower but just brushing it a lot will make it grow faster.
My mother used to use unflavored gelatin to make her hair and nails grow. You drink or eat it, it comes in packets you can mix with water and i would imagine that you could mix it with other things as well. I myself have used the Mane and Tail (horse shampoos and conditioners)they sell it at places like Walmart, CVS and Rite-Aid.

It's also waaaay easier to take care of (short hair in general, not just chelseas). Your hair grows faster when it's short as well, so if you decide you don't like it it won't take very long to grow it back.
Find a program like Locks of Love, where you can donate your hair to a woman with cancer. If you have a reason like that, it might help motivate you.
And remember, hair grows back! You'd be surprised how fast! When I cut my hair from waist length to above my shoulders, the main thing I noticed was how much less shampoo I went through. It's also way easier to brush, it saves me about 15 minutes a day. And it's lighter, I actually get less headaches now.

I think if you are certain you want it shorter, ask your hairdresser for their opinion as they will know what would suit your face more. Perhaps go for shoulder length first and see how you like that first, before going too short and then not liking it.

I just recently got my hair cut. I thought It was wavy, but it was very long.
Turns out, its curly, but my hair was too heavy to curl up. I got it cut to about my shoulder-blades, and its layered. I can still pull it up, I can scrunch it curly(with tons of volume) and I can flat Iron it straight.

When I go to the hair cutters can I ask if when they cut it from long, to a medium length to get it cut short?
Okay so I'm a guy and my hair is long I would say not past my shoulders though. And Im gonna go get it cut - it will be probably just 2 inches or a bit less off of everywhere and maybe a bit more than 2 inches but also just to even it out and to fix it up. SO, can I ask if they can somehow make my hair thinner cause quite thick. So I've been growing my hair for nearly 5 years, and I think it's time to cut it short. Despite the fact that I feel that I'll regret it, I think I'm finally going to do it! Thing is, before I do, I want to make sure I have a style prepared, as the reason I grew it is that It's the only style that suited me. But that was when I was 12.

You would look so HOT with a cut that is a little shorter than shoulder length and fringed around the face; part it on the side instead of the middle. If you think it's too thick, it's easy to have it thinned a bit. I love short wavy hair that is well groomed; it makes me drool.
I think that hair that goes just to the ears, and sweeps across the forehead would look great !
I don't usually like really short hair on guys.. But I think it would look great on you ! :)

Don't cut it, play with the texture curls or scrunch you wanting a new look could be just a passing phase, (boredom). Your hair is beautiful don't do something in the heat of the moment.

How long does hair grow typically. I got a buzz cut recently, a longer one but still a buzz cut. Sweetie you need to mature a bit. It's obvious you only hate it because he doesn't like it. What you do with your appearance is your choice and no one else's. I cut my hair 2 weeks ago because I live in Arizona and its scortching hot and my hair, which was almost at my waist, made it worse. I know my bf hates short hair but I really could care less. It's my head that burning up and my hair that's getting sweaty and disgusting when I'm out in the sun. Now that I did it he tries to act like he likes it but I know he thinks I look like a boy but I really could care less and you know why? Well because my head is lighter now, it takes me 5 minutes to do my hair as opposed to the 30 to 45 that it took before and my head's not as hot anymore.
I used to have my hair short, very very short and wore it like that for ages as it gets very hot and humid in SA. When we moved to Uk i started growing my hair and then only my hubby told me he prefers me with longer hair. I was not very worried about it though because i know what suits my face and what not and after all it is my choice if i want my hair short or long and i don't wear my hair in a way that he prefers it is my hair and my choice.:)

I really like girls with long hair, but I could never have it myself as it would be to much effort to maintain it and it would get in the way. I suppose that long hair makes a girl more feminine.

Go with styles that suit your face and YOU like unless like me your have a reason to grow it. After all he can't stop you cutting it and if he don't like, well that's stuff ****. It's your hair and he's supposed to like you for you not your hair.

If I ever had a gf like Binka, Thirst, Sazz, Evany, Ladya or Shorty, I'd dump her and thank my lucky stars that I did so before I married her! In practice, I'd doubt I've even look once at a woman like that, let alone go out with her.
Maybe it's an omen, but I really do not think that anyone who cuts her hair short after knowing how much I loved it long, and then doesn't care, is capable of loving me, and I'm best away from her.
I find drastic and rapid changes unsettling. A bit like a doggie person who wakes up and finds their labrador has overnight turned into a cat. Never again do I want to marry someone who turns from the girl I fell in love with into an ugly spiteful monster. Before anyone goes and tells me I am being hypocritical, I would not cut or shave my beard either if my gf loved it, regardless how itchy and inconvenient it got. It is respect for the sense of beauty of the one I love which is at stake here.
However, if a girl decides that at heart she is a short-haired person, then it would not be true to herself to grow her hair and be filled with resentment against me. That sort of relationship is doomed from the start. I must take her as I find her or leave her.
I asked a question a while back, and the unanimous response was that if I loved long hair, it was better to find a girl with shoulder-length hair willing and eager to grow it long, than a girl who had had hip-length hair all her life, was sick of it, and was going to restyle it in the next few months.
There are many personal things that seem important to some people, but really do not matter to others. If your hair is one of those with your bf, then just do what you feel is right for you. It seems with your bf you got mixed messages - he liked your longer bob better than your assymetric one (and so do you, I think). He is honest with you, but I do not think it is a big deal with him. I really like girls with long hair, but I could never have it myself as it would be to much effort to maintain it and it would get in the way. I suppose that long hair makes a girl more feminine.

Go with styles that suit your face and YOU like unless like me your have a reason to grow it. After all he can't stop you cutting it and if he don't like, well that's stuff ****. It's your hair and he's supposed to like you for you not your hair.

Maybe it's an omen, but I really do not think that anyone who cuts her hair short after knowing how much I loved it long, and then doesn't care, is capable of loving me, and I'm best away from her.
I find drastic and rapid changes unsettling. A bit like a doggie person who wakes up and finds their labrador has overnight turned into a cat. Before anyone goes and tells me I am being hypocritical, I would not cut or shave my beard either if my gf loved it, regardless how itchy and inconvenient it got. It is respect for the sense of beauty of the one I love which is at stake here.

My hair was down to mid-butt length. I've always had my hair long. Then I decided to cut it. It was just above my shoulders. I cut over 2 feet off.
Although it did feel great, cooler, and made me feel sassier, I soon grew tired of it. I couldn't pull it back off my face. I noticed a pony tail, or a flip was cooler than the hair being short.
I would look at other girls with long hair and miss mine.

Something worth trying is getting your hair cut to just below your shoulders. It'll give you a better idea of whether you like it, and hair tends to grow quicker once it's past your shoulders if you don't like it. As a rule of thumb, shorter hair will make you look older and more mature (to a point). And if you have a round face you might find that long hair suits you longer, while short hair often suits a longer face.

yes i've changed my hair lots of times, i recommend going to a good hairstylist who isn't afraid to take a risk. read lots of hair mags and take photos you like of the style with you. A good stylist will tell it like it is. I have naturally curly hair so if i take a photo in of a woman with straight hair, my hairdresser laughs and says she can style it like that but it will be hard work to style and won't look exactly the same. don't DIY colour! i've done it many times and it never looks as good as professional colour.

Hi honey, I went from below my shoulders brown, to short blonde and spiky on a whim, and although I loved it for a while, I eventually got bored of it again (but that's just me!) I've now got a concave bob, and am experimenting with different two tone colours to satisfy my need for change. A change in colour may make you feel a little better perhaps? And is easier to rectify than a drastic cut. Also can I suggest that you go to the website below to try out your face with different styles to see what does and doesn't suit you...

DONT do it, I had it dont around christmas last year, I hated it so much I cried for days! I would suggest you dont get a major amount of it cut off because it will be a big change, and if you dont like it.. it could take ages to grow out!

Now I am as happy as i can be with it.

Eww, your hair must have tons of split ends if it's that long.
If it really is that long, I wouldn't get it cut to something as short as a bob straight away as this is gonna be a really big change and you probably won't like it.
Get it cut to below shoulder length with lots of layers to give it some texture. And add some side bangs to give it a more modern look.

If it really is that long, I wouldn't get it cut to something as short as a bob straight away as this is gonna be a really big change and you probably won't like it.
Get it cut to below shoulder length with lots of layers to give it some texture. And add some side bangs to give it a more modern look.

i had long hair like yours once when i was 13 i got it cut so it could spike up it was the worst mistake i ever made it has been 8 months and it only grown 1 1/2 inches since then rust me only cut it to shoulder length

I have short hair at the moment, maybe 2 inches below my ear and 1 inch above my neck, and I'm wanting to grow it long. I'm just wondering if there is a hair cut or style that, while I'm growing it, won't make it look like a short hair cut grown out. Any suggestions?

If it is Kinky then by no menas should it be short you'll have lots of probles fixing it up. It takes a long time to grow your hair long, I have had long hair twice in my life. When I was little(first grade) then cut it shoulder length and it took my seven YEARS to grow it back out. The best thing you can do is make sure it is well taken care of. Use a good conditioner, use a leave in conditioner also, STAY away from flat irons, and get a 1/3 inch trim every six months on the ends. Take a multi vitamin to. It will help along with a healthy diet. DONOT take prenatals. They will make you sick and are unsafe for you if you aren't pregnant. It is going to take some time but if you do these things, your hair will grow back out. Good luck!

mine was past my shoulders up to like when i was in 5th grade, then my parents talked me into getting a pixie like cut and i hated it on me. it made my hair actually look thicker. but it wasn't exactly a pixie cut. but if you think you will like it, i would try it :)

I hated it :/ but now my hair has grown out.

sorry it takes time for hair to grow back, you just need to keep it super healthy.... if you search in google,hair growth, this hair formula thing pops up and its shampoo and vitamins, but i cant say if it works or not. so what you need to do is stay away from heated appliances like striaghteners, and curling irons, they fry you hair and cause split ends and breakage... so your hair can grow an inch but since you have split ends, the split enditself will fall off. confusing i know! but i read that you and your hair should get at least 7-9 hours of sleep, and give your self weekly scalp massages, it gets your hair follicles going, and makes them grow a little :D make sure you hair is really moisturized too, try to fine some moisturizing hair products like silk serums and leave in conditioners and put them on by focusing on the tips of your hair.... also eat healthy! sugars and fat stop you hair follicles and your hair wont grow, lastly try to deep condition your hair monthly! ** if yiou do stle you hair every now and then with a straightener or w/e then use a heat prtoector ** AND dont buy ANY products with alcohol in them, that will dry out your hair and especially you ends and it will cause breakage, and dont shower everyday it will wash aways your bodys natural oils and strip the moisture away! hope this helped!

Other than that, hair grows on an average of 1/2 an inch a month, faster in warmer seasons. So - keep washing your hair and be glad its spring!
I cut my hair pretty short last August too and I didn't like it either. I cut is till it ended at the bottom of my ear and right now it is maybe to my collar bone and I think my hair grows pretty fast so, I would say you'll have probably a year until it grows back. Depending on how long you want it.
Once when my hair was too short, I went and got some light self tanner and put it around my ears and back of my neck very carefully. This helped me feel not so bald because of the white walls. also some people frost or hi-lite to make the hair seem like more.

However, I can give you some stellar advice that has carried me through life quite well since I first read it in a teen magazine many years ago. Do not make any major changes to your body or lifestyle in reaction to any emotional event that recently happened to you. For instance, if you just broke up, feel you failed in a relationship, or suffered a personal loss, etc... don't do something you normally would not do like get a tattoo, a new piercing, cut your hair, dye your hair or even perm your hair because you suddenly feel you need a change. Trust me on this one! If you make a big change in your appearance to forget something bad that happened, in the end that change is actually going to remind you of the bad thing every time you see yourself, and make you feel worse. So, is it really time for a change, or are you reacting to something you need to deal with? I don't mean to be preachy, but if I had gotten this advice before I cut my hair for a guy in High School, I would have been a lot better off sooner than later! Just take a few minutes to figure out why you are considering a change, before you make one for the wrong reason and regret it later. Good luck!

My hair dries 5 minutes after hopping out of the shower, it's easy and quick. I can't remember having a bad hair day. It never gets hot in the summer. I think it's funky. I can change my hair colour as often as I want, because I know the dead hair will be chopped off at my next hair cut.
I used to have my hair just above my bum (lol) and it was so difficult it took twice as long to wash twice aslong to dry (well you get the point).
Then i started getting a few inches off and it was so much easier.
I now have a posh bob and it takes less then half the amount of time to wash it, dry it and sort it.
So on the whole short hair is soo much easier to manage.
But if you want to keep it long you can put it back in a ponytail lol. When its short you can use head bands and clips instead.
If u are not sure just get 2-4 inches off then if you like it next time you go maybe get a bit more off. Which is what i did and i love my hair now lol...x
