Gotcha there! Mine took 15 months to grow from chin length to armpit length...
I got a perm between that time, but I was used to the shortness because it had been chin length since I was in second grade... I'm in 11th now.
So, I suggest just to style it how you like, wear bobby pins and cute clips... those distract from the shortness factor :)

Do a bunch of different styles to change up your look so its not the same day after day.
ALso get a bunch of different hair accessories
Same thing happened to me. My hair was about 3 in past my shoulders last week. i had been growing it out for 2 years.anyways i went to get a trim and by some chance my hairdresser thought to cut it to about chin length, even though i pay her an outrageous amount to cut my hair. but to get to the ? as mad as i was. im finding that if my hair is is put up with bobby pins on the top then i can tolerate it. so try and find some ways to style your hair so that you might like it a little more. and try not to stress on your hair growing. it makes it go so much slower. i promise.
