It depend on your hair. If you have straight hair any lenght of short or long will help you in most hairstyles you just need to find one that matches your face and that makes you comfortable. If you have wavy or cury hair don't go too short becuase it makes it puff up like shakira's which for everyday lifstyles like ours is not the best look. If it is Kinky then by no menas should it be short you'll have lots of probles fixing it up. The long hair, curly or straight is in style right now so keep it like that plus not many of us can grow healthy long hair so be proud of it.

Depends how old you are. I always feel that short hair gives a more professional, ';older'; look. Mostly, it's personal preference--although I personally think that much older women look silly with very long hair. I worked with a teacher who had very long gray hair that she wore in a ponytail, and it kinda freaked me out.
I once cut my hair up to my chin and i HATED it. since I'm very active in sports (tennis...soccer..etc.) it was a horrible decision because it would never stay in a ponytail or behind a headband.

there is this 18 year old in my school and she isnt even 5 foot. so she cuts her hair short and it makes her look more like an adult. you just gotta try things. there are some places you can go to and see what that hair cut would look lik on you. i would advise you to do that. go to a beauty shop or somethin. cause we dont really no what you look lik or wut you lik and your personality.
Long hair are versatile. I mean you can do many hairstyles with it and cut it at different lengths whenever you wnat...dont cut them too short at first...cut them smaller as and when you want.
