The best rule for dudes' haircuts is high and tight, but not too short - you don't want to look like you just joined the marines.
What this means is shorter on the sides and leaving it a little longer on the top. I can't tell from the pictures if you have big ears, but if you do you might want to leave it a little longer on the sides so they don't look like the stick out. http://haircutsformen.org is a pretty good website.
