Why does my hairdresser always tell me to cut my long hair short?

I'm only 14, by the way.

I have hair to my butt, and I like it. However, my hairdresser always tells me I should get it cut very short whenever I go in for a trim. The longest she's ever said I should go is a bob. She always seems to get the siccors out whenever I'm done telling her what I want, and one time she almost closed them down on my hair till I told her I didn't want it cut short, and she had them right above my ears. It's scary.

What's weird is, she has really short hair, like a boy. Am I making a mistake to have my hair this long? Should I cut it off short? Thanks! Why does my hairdresser always tell me to cut my long hair short?
no way dont cut it!

shes probably jealous and to make herself feel better, she wants to take your long pretty hair away from you.

dont fall for it though! Why does my hairdresser always tell me to cut my long hair short?
If your hairdresser keeps telling you to cut you hair short, you should do it. She is the experts and knows what would look best on you. Next time you go to get it cut and she says you should go short, tell her yes. Let her cut it the way it will look best. You may end up with a boys style haircut, but it will compliment your face and look good on you once you and you will like it a lot once you get used to it. It will take some courage, but be brave and go for it.
Do not cut your hair unless it is your choice to cut your hair. You shouldn't do something that you don't want to do. Get a new hairdresser, the one you have is seeming quite scary. Don't let her cut your hair. Get it trimmed regularly, but by someone else.

Hairdressers are supposed to ADVISE you, not just do what they want with your hair. Make your wants and needs very clear to any hairdresser before you have them touch your hair.
don't cut it if you don't want it cut. But make sure when u go to get a trim make sure she gets rid of all the split ends %26amp; everything so your hair can look healthy.
if you want to cut it the take off like 4 inches or cut it a couple inches under your shoulders
Uh..that is strange.

get a new hairdresser seriously....
How are we suppose to know? Why don't you just ask her?
Do not cut it! She is obviously jealous. People get upset when they see women with long hair that actually looks healthy. Not everyone can pull it off because their hair ends up looking thin and stringy. She wants you to cut it so she will feel better about herself and her bad hair cut. My hair is 28 inches long at every week someone will ask me when I'm going to cut it. I'm not, I put years into this and it's healthy and thick so there is no point in me cutting it. I have nightmares that I have cut my hair! I always wake up relieved. If you ever do cut it, that's your choice, not hers.
