i cut off my hair as i do every year! it grows a little above my shoulders and i chop it out of habit...
i look cute with short hair but im scared if i keep the style up my hair wont want to grow back when i change my mind

When I was younger, I had hair that I could sit on. Over the years I've alternated having it short and long. But now it's short - very much so - and is staying that way.
I love having short hair - it attracts attention, I am no longer one of the masses of girls with long hair who all look the same and have the same hair styles. You say that you feel like as a girl you should have left it long, but to be honest, the shorter my hair is, the more feminine I feel - attention is on my features, rather than me just being hidden behind a mane of hair the whole time.
Ultimately, it's your choice how you decide to have your hair - after all, it's your head! I can't see any reason why it won't grow back if you change your mine, so by all means keep the style if you wish. I personally think women who have small frames/petite features look better with shorter hair anyway. Sure, there will always be some people who make rude comments - but those people are sheep and it's your opinion that matters above all else. I have actually had friends tell me that they envy my hair and how easy it is to look after and keep in good condition - and say that they wish they had the courage to have theirs cut short as well!

A lott of people feel that girls should have ';long luscious flowing hair'; eff that! When I started high school my hair was down to my knees. My Sophomore year I hacked it off, the longest strand of it reached the top of my ear. So many of my friends were angry, are, the short hair style matched my personality so much better and it complimented my face. Ive let my hair start to grow back now for a change of pace, but I'm generally keeping it shoulder length with heavy layering. Even though Ive hacked my hair off for the passed 7 years or so it still grows back just as fast and healthy. So do what you want and what makes you feel comfortable. Just because people think women should have long hair doesn't mean anything...people also think it's a woman's job to cook, clean and make babies...=) have fun with your cut as long as you're happy with it!

also yeah.. i cut my hair uber short and i just added extensions. like i told the lady i wanted it to my shoulder and she cut it to the point where i can't even put it into a ponytail. so what i did was wait for the back to grow out long enough to even hide extensions and just kind of added them in
