I have never been one to defy fashion. However in my older age, I have shoulder length hair that I either make a french twist with, or put up in a pony tail.

When I do the french twist, my hair is really boucy and wavy when I take it down. Just carry some bobby pins and have your hair stylist teach you how to twist and pin it up to stay.I just got my hair cut short, its to like my collar bone, i had it about 6 inches longer, what styles are best
curling the ends out is always cute. a side part and headband is always easy and looks great. you could put it up in a half pony tail, straighten it, or just flip your head upside down and blow dry it to give it extra volume. try also parting it in different spots (side, middle, etc) are always good to change things up. i like curling the ends out (or in for a sophisticated look), that's what i do.
Spikey Layers are super cute - when my hair was short I would get my hair cut that way - I saw Meg Ryan with it and loved the look -

It matters what your hair type is....

...if you have naturally straight,

just add a little volumizer when

you wash it, then blow dry it

straight.

...straight styles look best with

short hair.
take two sections from either side in the front, pull them back (TOGETHER), and pin them there :)
Bald is best
put on a head band with layers or side bangs outside band
