when i mentioned it to him he got really upset and begged me not to and now every time im going to the salon he thinks he has to go with me to make sure i dont cut it short. guys tend to hate change. it freaks him out but im sure he'd get over it and love the way you look that is if he is a good guy and loves you for you. He should not be a factor in what you do with your appearance especially when it comes to something so simple as hair. It grows back! Just talk to him and let him know that its something you really would like to try and maybe the day you cut it (if you do) plan to go out to a nice dinner...get all dressed up for him I think that would be a good distraction from the hair and a way to get him to get use to it faster.I am debating if I should cut my hair short? i have always had long brown hair, layered and well my bf lovesit?
I had the same problem. I had long brown hair, I got really annoyed with it and bored. One day, I went to the salon and had it cut. I like it so much, I got it cut into a stylish bob. It's medium length now, and I love it. You do want you want to do. Either way, I think he'll like it, if not forget him. It's your hair. Good Luck!!

Well dont cut it really short.
It's a huge mistake i made now im trying to grow it out again..
My advice is to do it medium length with Bottom and top layers and Layered bangs.
The layers will make it look shorter without your hair being like a boys
