Many girls/women have told me i should cut it short.
Many men like my long dark hair and tell me no...
I like the way I look in long hair but with this heat wave we have been having in WI lately.. been thinking of getting it cut short..
I need some in put here to help me make up my mind on this..
Short hair would be a big change for me (a bit scary) but so is being almost 50 and single again lolShould I cut my hair short or leave it long?
In my opinion.....don't have a hair cut.....Otherwise It will change ur reality......and identity.......So..don't loose your identityShould I cut my hair short or leave it long?
i think u should cut it short like buzzcut #2 all over short that way its less mangable and women love how it feels ;D

ur choice
I would maybe get a new hairstyle. Not cut it short, but maybe take some of the lenght off. I have long, natural curly hair, and my solution to hot days, is to pull it up. I would not cut it short, the women who are telling you to cut it short are just jealous of you. Men love long hair !! Believe me, my boyfriend would have a cow if I cut my hair short....
long hairs are nice. make it long
if you cant make up your mind cut it in the middle of short and long like a little longer than your shoulders
Iam a hair dresser and i would like to share to you something ....When a woman is above 40 it is not nice to have a long hair under the shoulder .. remember a woman with long dark hair flying with broom sure u dont wanna look like her..
LEAVE IT ALONG! Long hair is beautiful.
you should go to a nice salon, talk to an experience stylist and have them give you a make-over. they will give you a style (whether long or short) that will make you look your very best.
I say you should cut it a little shorter or try a knew hair style. Do not act as the other say, do what you want with your hair.
you shouldn't cut it, and i think you should die it blonde
keep it the way it is. it has worked so far why change?
fool leave it long
no!!! dont cut it, guys LOVE long dark hair, you have no idea. girls just say that cuz they r jealous
Ok, you've had long, long hair all your life and you're almost 50 and single once again. Hmmmm, my opinion? I think you should go for it! What do you have to lose? If you don't like it, it will always grow back. Don't cut it too short. Go, maybe to your shoulders with long layers. Get a sexy, new look. Actually, I believe that after a certain age, very, very long hair doesn't look too good. Get some highlights while your at it. I'll bet you'll start getting some extra attention.
Good luck. Post a picture next time.
doesn't relate to dating --- wear your hair as you like it---you're the one who has to live with it
Short.
you should leave them till they reach your shoulders or 2points longer,,just perfect
if you have it short ,its more manageable...
i like my hair up to my shoulders and somthing that looks clean
painted rain2 has a good idea. I say you need to explore how you think and feel about change. Change can be exciting and invigorating
as well as scary. Only you know what would be right for you . Another thought I have is that you can grow your hair back but I have heard of some older women not being able to grow it back to such a long length again. Ask a professional about that. You might feel really good to donate your long beautiful hair to an organization for ill people who have no hair. I am sure they would be so happy with it.
I'd recommend cutting your hair to a little below the shoulders. That way, it isn't too short to put up in a ponytail on hot days, but it isn't too long.
It's the summer time! Go ahead and cut your hair to give it that summer look. You can even add highlights just to take it a little further. I always change my hair color and style with the seasons.
I'm a What Not to Wear fanatic. They would tell you that a 50-year-old doesn't need hair down to her butt (but I'm impressed you haven't had to dye greys yet). If you're not a hippie, I'd say cut it to a more age-appropriate length and donate the hair to Locks of Love, which makes wigs for childhood cancer victims.
When making a decision about my hair length I generally went with what the guys thought, since they were the ones I was trying to impress. However, If you do decide to cut it, I highly suggest you make sure your hair stylist will gather your hair to send to Locks of Love. Not only does that provide a wig for someone in great need of hair, it also gives you a wonderful excuse if you end up not liking your hair cut - just tell people that it was for a good cause. And remember, it'll always grow back if you don't like it short.
