I have long hair right now. it goes down to about the middle of my back. and I love doing different things with it. but lately it has become unruly. and I think I want to cut it. has anyone recently cut their long hair? did you regret it? I am not looking for something too drastic, but what do you think. should I or shouldn't I?

ok so i had long hair over the summer and my stylist cut off a good chunk off it without asking. i think i looked better with long hair, but i will admit that it is much more manageable now. and it looks really cute and bouncy in a pony tail :D
i wouldn't cut it
only because i just cut my long pretty hair to my shoulders wit layers %26amp; i can only practically use 1 hairstyle

Anyway, I'll toss two cents atcha and you can pocket it or not.
I like the first picture best. Personally I love long hair on a girl.
My wife has hers really long and she has it permed every so often (about once a year.) She's Asian and her hair is really, really straight. The perming makes it wavy.
Oh and you asked if anyone had had long hair and regretted cutting it. I had really long hair (like Peter Frampton in his heyday) and I cut it to a buzz cut. I regret it!
It's now back to just above my neck...naturally curly hair takes ever so long to get long!
I think if you do cut it, cut only a little bit -- maybe a few inches, perhaps add a few layers. See how it feels, and how you like it. Then if you want it shorter still, cut it a little bit more.. just gradually, in steps.
I did this too and it made it much easier. Though I'm now growing it out again...
You'd likely regret it (at first, anyway) if you went ahead and cut it all short at once.
Or another option, maybe try switching up your hair products to something that will make your hair more manageable, so you can keep the length.. if that's what's making you want to cut it.
