yeah i have extremely thick and long hair so...Should i get my long hair cut short?
No!
Your hair is long thick and gorgeous.
Getting that choppy cut would make it very thick, and somewhat hard to do. Plus, if you wanted to grow it out, you'd have to cut it all on length ( i.e shorter ) to have it all grown out evenly, or constantly cut your longer pieces to match up with the shorter layers as they grow.
I'd kill for your hair!

as long as its not curly. then youd have to straighten it every day before styling. it doesnt look like it in the pic, but you couldve straightened it. never know!

If your hair is naturally straight it would work well. The only thing is if the layers in the cut aren't long then it makes your hair look thicker. Have a chat to you hairdresser and just see if they can do a similar cut that is slightly longer.
As much as I love my long hair, short is in and that cut is cute! A lot of celebrities are getting their hair cut short. My roommate just did and her hair looks fabulous. The only problem may be when you want to put it in a ponytail.
You definitely have the face for this cut. I think it will really bring out your eyes. Good luck.
