I had to go to a gents and tell them what I had done and offer them 拢50 to cut it as short as they wanted.
The first shop said no but a woman barber said ok in the next place.I got in the chair with hair down my back she turned the chair so the other people could watch my humiliation.
She cut right round my head 2inchs above my ears then clipped upto that I look like a mushroom.
I left the shop like that with all the people laughing at me.
My MIL told my husband that I had to have my hair cut off because a perm went wrong she has since saved my neck and sides so she could put some cream on he has excepted all this.
How long will my hair take to grow back she wont let me wear a wig so I wont be going out much I look so stupid.

If this is true, it sure is crazy - leave your husband if you were cheating on him anyway, what were you thinking? Go back to the hairdresser and ask them to fix it as best as they can. To make it grow faster, try massaging your scalp and some supplements claim they can do the trick, too.
Tell your husband the truth. If you still have a marriage, both of you sit with your MIL and have him tell her how disappointed he is in her for deceiving him and her punishment.....you guessed....same hairdresser, same haircut!!
Otherwise, dye your hair bright pink or green and dress accordingly. It will be your 'punky' phase until your hair grows back and will bug the crap out of your MIL!
There are so many things wrong with this question. Your hair is the LEAST of your problems! Come clean with your husband. If he can forgive, then great, otherwise move on. Your MIL will have that over you forever and whose to say that she won't continue to humiliate you and then tell him eventually?

Why are you more worried about your hair than the affair you had?!! It's just hair and it will grow back eventually! They have products for this to help with hair growth. Dr. Miracle products are very effective. You should just tell your husband about it, if you feel you look so stupid and then get a weave...this is sooo stupid!
All the hair magazines say 1/4 to 1/2 inch per month.

If you're not woman enough to tell your husband the truth, you deserve it. Just wait it out. You shouldn't have cheated to begin with...if you had marital problems, you should have went to him first...feel lucky that's all his mother required. Good luck.

That much hair could take anywhere from 6 weeks to a year to grow back. i dont think that was a fair punioshment. the guy had nothing to do with your hair.

I think this is the weirdest question I have ever read on here! If I were you I'd be more worried about you having affairs and my marriage than I would be about my hair. You need some serious growing up time.

Not that I believe this story for even a minute, but if it were true, I'd say you got what you deserved for being a skank behind your husband's back. No way I'd advise you on how to grow it back.
I would come clean because your mother in law will always use this against you. Don't let her have the power. How dare she try to control the situation. IT's sickening. Shame on her for not just telling her son. Vitamins help hair growth. Go to a salon that will fix your hair. Short hair is sexy too. Just have someone cut it into a cute pixy doo. Tell your husband because either way your life is going to be miserable but at least the truth will set you free.
Being in that predicament must have been very embarrassing for you, to say the least. But your MIL sounds like the MIL from hell. Still, if she's really going to keep your secret (she'll always have something over you, you know and that's pretty distressing all by itself). I, for one, would much rather tell my hubs the truth and take my chances with him than having someone like her being able to laud it over me whenever she felt she wants to taunt you.
In answer to how long it will take to grow it out, hair normally grows about 1/2'; a month. While it's so short, you could use hair extensions. What do you mean, ';she won't LET YOU wear a wig? You've given over your will and your power to this woman and NOTHING and NO ONE is worth THAT !
